Everything is BIGGER in Texas!!!

It's so crazy to think that just a year ago we packed up all our stuff in Arizona and headed on our big adventure to Texas.I remember thinking about all the western movies about Texas and it was just flat, really windy, hot and all dirt! I Can't live in Texas, Arizona has mountains, snow and trees. I can tell you that Texas it is flat, really windy, and mostly dirt, but we also have the biggest skies which means lots of stars(if you don't live in the panhandle) we get lots of snow and there are some trees, but they are slightly slanted from the wind but hey they are still trees. It has been a good year and a big change.
Cache started working for MRC in Borger TX, while we were living in Pampa TX which was hard him and Wesley would carpool to work which was about 30 min so they had to leave pretty early to make it to work by 7 and they would get home around 6 everynight so they would have quite the day.Pampa was a cute little town, there were alot of nice people everyone is very friendly in Texas so  that was really nice. We lived in a nice area, we only had one scary neighbor right next door but they didn't bug us to much.
The 1st few months we lived here we had a real wake up call to the cold weather. It got to be -28 sometimes and the snow and ice were brutal. We also got alot of ice storms which are really famous over here, you would wake up in the morning and all the trees would look like it just snowed on the trees but it was just ice from all the humidity,it was so pretty when you would drive around town and see all the trees like this.

Another thing we had to get use to were the tornados, we had a few scares the joke here is if it's 60 degrees wait 30 minutes and the weather will change. That's exactly what would happen, the sun would be out and there wouldnt be any wind at all and then the storm comes in and you get 90 mile an hour winds and hail and this is what the whole town looks like.

I was happy when Fall came and we didn't have to deal with that weather anymore. Cache got to go hunting quite a bit over here, he was able to take me turkey hunting  for the 1st time which was an adventure in itself, i really enjoyed it and we will see if he wants to take me again:)He was also to help guide a few people and get a few deer himself which makes him a happy camper!
In July we found out that we were expecting again which was really exciting.I was able to surprise Cache this time and he had no idea which was really fun, he was so excited but he was even more excited when he found out we were having a little boy. He can't wait till next year on his birthday to take him Turkey hunting but we will see if that will happen.

In July my sister-in-law and her husband moved to Salt lake City and Cache had to start driving by himself which he didn't like doing at all so we started looking for houses in Borger where he was working and we were having no luck, so in October we finally found a house that was 2 minutes away from work so that was awesome and he was able to start coming home for lunch and we were able to have dinner at a decent hour since he was so close.Borger is was different than Pampa, there are alot of different coal plants, and refineries everywhere, and for the 1st few months we didn't have a walmart but i lived. There are alot more young couples in our ward which is really nice cause there were none in Pampa. We really enjoy living here, Texas has been a good home for us the past year and i can't wait to see what the years to come hold for us.
